I moved to CHA East Cambridge when Dr.Hagan moved here, he retired but we decided to stay. My son had an appointment today, we were running late because of traffic, I called and the receptionist forwarded me to speak to a nurse. The nurse said 15min late is okay”. We got there and the receptionist told me my son cannot be seen because we’re past 10 minutes late and needed to reschedule, than proceed to make a comment saying “Next time make sure you arrive on time”. I’m not late because I wanted to, traffic changes every minute, I cannot predict what happens outside even if I leave on time. So, when a patient is late is not okay, but when the doctor is running late is okay and we have to wait?! I, myself have been a patient of CHA for 18 years and this has never happened to me, they always tried to accommodate me. Also what’s with the 20 minute appointment policy? I asked why the appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes only and they said the first 15 minutes is to get check in and the last 5 minutes for the doctor to see us. No wonder doctors are always rushing and not taking care of the patient correctly. Definitely moving from this clinic.

I’ve always had such a wonderful experience these past 10 years but today I call and the man gave the worse customer service on a call I made. He gave attitude and seems like he didn’t want to work. When I asked his name he hung up.

on my first visit the Dr said in the hallway on the way to my room “she has autism so I cant rely on anything she says”. this is discriminatory. thats like saying because he’s Asian, he must only eat Asian food and knows KungFoo. I asked for a celiac test, because I have major symptoms when I consume gluten. I did report that I have been gluten free for over a year. It would be nearly 2 years now. I have a lot of vitamins, smoothies, and take collagen daily. He recommended a gene test, but with as upset as I was with his discriminatory comment, I was trembling, I said no, I want to do the test my previous doctor suggested (because clearly I couldnt trust his suggestions with that behavior). So I asked how many weeks do I need to consume gluten for an exposure test.. he said 2. I was not given instruction in how much gluten. So I ate Gluten for two weeks, not knowing if it would have been enough or not, so I ate quite a bit. My symptoms werent near as bad as they were two years ago, but I still had minimal itching and a migraine once. (could be unrelated as we are in the middle of season change- Winter to Spring), and then I did the test with a result of 0.5 on the one test and no o

Everyone is very professional here - patient and caring even though they’re clearly very busy. They answer all my questions and I can tell they want to understand my needs as much as possible. I never feel like I am being rushed through my appointments or that they are trivializing my concerns. The care feels comprehensive and my experience is that they can cover all needed labs, blood testing, vaccines, prescriptions, etc in one visit. Their service has been fast, and scheduling and messaging is pretty easy via call or the app.

I’ve been a patient here for many years, and for a number of these years I was quite pleased with the care and attention I’d received, albeit infrequently. All of a sudden, it seemed that doctor turnover started happening more frequently here. I was reassigned to at least 5 different doctors over the course of the past several years. Then communication started to falter. I’d send messages on mychart and there would be long delays, and I’d often get a response from someone I didn’t send the message to. Then I’d speak to a nurse on the phone who would say my message was rerouted to someone else and they didn’t know anything about it. Really?? Then get a new system or don’t tell patients they should use it as a reliable form of communication…because they all sell it like it is. For the past two weeks I’ve been trying to get a doctor’s letter to recommend to my employer that they should consider allowing me to work in an alternate office space because there’s a mold issue, and I’ve had headaches and sinus issues for months. My case was even escalated to the medical director. She was unapologetic about all of my concerns and offered no reasonable solution. 10/18 employees in my office
